Where Parents Go to Get in the Know.

Ottawa Public Health launched a new online outreach strategy to support parents in Ottawa. “Parenting in Ottawa” meets parents where they are – in the virtual community. It has two components:

An English and French Facebook page, moderated daily by a Public Health Nurse (8am to 3pm) and

With up to date-to-date content, easy accessibility, and organized around the major transition points of childhood it is easy to find what you are looking for. Parents can direct specific questions to a Public Health Nurse who is available every week day. Ottawa Public Health is also collaborating with a number of partners to feature local experts on issues parents in Ottawa want to know more about.

In Ottawa there are about 206,000 children eighteen years and younger. Helping parents will help these children “to grow up great”. Thank you for your support! If you have any comments, feedback, or ideas about guests or resources to feature don’t hesitate to send an email.
